Sgurr nan Coireachan Terrain Block

Sgurr nan Coireachan (Glenfinnan) anchors the eastern end of the famous Glenfinnan Horseshoe. It is a peak of rocky ridges and rough character. The ridge connecting it to neighbor Sgurr Thuilm is a rollercoaster of bumps and narrow sections, offering fantastic walking with views of Loch Arkaig. The rugged nature of the terrain here demands good footwear and care, but the rewards are a classic Highland ridge walk with unmatched views of the historic loch below.

About Sgurr nan Coireachan

The 'Peak of the Corries'. The name is common, but this one overlooks the cradle of the Jacobite rising. It was likely a lookout point for clan movements. The rough terrain is typical of the rugged West Highland seaboard.
