Sgurr nan Conbhairean Terrain Block

Sgurr nan Conbhairean is a massive, domed mountain above Loch Cluanie. It is the parent peak of a fine group, linked by high ridges. The summit is broad and stony, a contrasting gentleness atop the steep corries. It commands the watershed between the east and west coasts, often catching the weather from both sides. A large cairn marks the top, providing shelter for walkers taking in the vast landscape that stretches from Glen Shiel to the Cairngorms.

About Sgurr nan Conbhairean

The 'Peak of the Dog Keepers/Kennels'. Often associated with the hunting dogs of Fionn MacCumhaill in mythology. It has been a central point for deer stalking for centuries. The cairn on top is large, visible from far down the glen.
