Sgurr nan Each Terrain Block

Sgurr nan Each is the slender southern outlier of the main Fannichs ridge. Connected by a narrow, rocky arete to the main massif, it feels airy and distinct. The 'Peak of the Horses' is steep on all sides, rising sharply from the dark deeps of Loch Fannich. The detour to reach this summit adds a significant amount of ascent to the day, but the dramatic position and the view back to the main ridge make it well worth the effort.

About Sgurr nan Each

Traditionally, ponies were used to retrieve deer from the hill, but the slopes here are so steep it defies belief they reached the summit. The ridge to Sgurr nan Clach Geala is one of the scenic highlights of the group.
