Sgurr nan Eag Terrain Block

Sgurr nan Eag is the most southerly Munro on the Cuillin ridge. It is a confusing mountain of blocks and notches. The name 'Peak of the Notches' is accurate. While less technical than its neighbours, the navigation on the boulder-strewn summit ridge is tricky. It offers incredible views south to the isles of Rum and Eigg.

About Sgurr nan Eag

Its position at the end of the ridge makes it the start (or end) of the full Cuillin Traverse. The gabbro rock here is coarse and grippy. It overlooks the hidden Loch Coir' a' Ghrunnda, one of the most atmospheric corries in Skye.
