Sgurr Thuilm Terrain Block

Sgurr Thuilm is a prominent, steep-sided mountain north of Glenfinnan. It is often climbed with Sgurr nan Coireachan. The peak commands the head of Loch Shiel, offering a famous view down the loch towards the monument. The slopes are steep and grassy, relentless in ascent but quick in descent. The horseshoe route that includes this peak is considered one of the classic rounds of the Western Highlands, steeped in both beauty and history.

About Sgurr Thuilm

The 'Peak of the Hillock' or 'Unroofed Fortress'. It overlooks the glen where the Jacobite standard was raised in 1745. The viaduct at Glenfinnan, visible from the low slopes, adds a touch of Harry Potter fame to the historic landscape.
