Spidean Mialach Terrain Block

Spidean Mialach is the eastern partner to Gleouraich, overlooking Loch Quoich. It is a peak of complex corries and crags, contrasting with the long ridges of its neighbour. The classic circuit of the two is a highlight of the area. It offers superb views into the rough country of Knoydart.

About Spidean Mialach

The 'Peak of the Deer/Louse/Animal''. 'Mialach' can mean lousy (as in lice) or relating to animals. Not the most flattering name for a fine hill! It was part of the vast territories of the Clan Cameron.
