Stob Coire a' Chairn Terrain Block

Stob Coire a' Chairn is a central hub in the Mamores range. Ridges radiate from it to An Gearanach and Am Bodach. It is usually crossed as part of the Ring of Steall. The summit is sharp and stony, feeling right in the heart of the mountains. Its pivotal position means you are surrounded by the drama of the Mamores on all sides, with ridges stretching out like spokes of a wheel.

The 'Peak of the Cairn Corrie'. Its central position means it is often a busy crossroads for ridge walkers. The views of the surrounding Mamores ridges are dizzying. It has been a landmark for shepherds navigating the complex ridges for centuries.
