Stob Coire Easain Terrain Block

Stob Coire Easain is a sharp, conical peak commanding the view over Loch Treig. Joined to its 'twin', Stob a' Choire Mheadhoin, it forms a classic horseshoe walk. The steep grassy slopes give way to a rocky summit. It is a dominant landmark from the railway line. The ascent from Fersit is a steep, sustained pull, but the ridge walk between the two summits is a delightful high-level promenade with extensive views.

About Stob Coire Easain

The 'Peak of the Corrie of the Little Waterfall'. The pair are often called the 'Easains'. The view of the Grey Corries from here is one of the best. The damming of Loch Treig for the aluminium smelter changed the valley floor.
