Stob Poite Coire Ardair Terrain Block

Stob Poite Coire Ardair forms the high rim of the magnificent Coire Ardair on Creag Meagaidh. While overshadowed by the main summit, it offers the best view down the vertical cliffs of the Post Face. It is a flat-topped ridge that provides easy walking once gained. However, the drop into the corrie is precipitous, and care must be taken near the edge to fully appreciate the scale of the cliffs below.

The 'Peak of the Pot of the High Corrie'. The 'Pot' refers to the corrie itself. The cliffs below are legendary in Scottish winter climbing history, a testing ground for the best mountaineers. It has seen the development of modern ice climbing techniques.
